Cartoon Network Acquire 10 Australian Cartoons.
CN Acquires short-form animation series from Australian Children's TV foundation.
Cartoon network is continuing its support of local Australian original content with the acquisition of a package of 10 new children's short-form animation series from Australian children's Television foundation.
The comedic animated and live-action shorts will be aired on cartoon network in Australia,New Zealand and Asia, and include Dukes of Boxstonia,monster chef,Black knight white witch,Desdemona,horace is slow motion,itty Bitty Ditties,My strange pet, casa de evil and Laser Beak man.
The 98 episodes are a collaborate effort between ACTF and Australian producers from western Australia,south Australia,victoria,New south wales and Tasmania.
"These Wacky and distinctive series showcase Australia's most talented and innovative animators and we're velly proud of them, and thrilled that their audience will increase exponentially given cartoon networks extensive reach,"said Jenny Buckland,Cheif executive,Officer,Australian Childrens Television foundation.
Each series contains approximately eight to 10 episodes,with each running 45 or 60 seconds long.All the series have an element of comedy with some featuring dialogue and others without it is expected the sorts will launch on cartoon net throught 2011.
